WHAT TO DO WHEN THE LESSON
When the Italian lesson is over, the area of Bellagio and Magreglio (the small and quiet village, above Bellagio and lake Como, where we also host the Italian courses) offers you great opportunities to discover the beautiful landscape of lake Como, the richness of its history and culture, together with the possibility to do many sports.
Only 70km (44mi) away, lies the city of Milan (the fashion and design capital, with its new buildings) where you can admire many important monuments. Certainly, you cannot miss the Duomo and the church and Dominican Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie with “The Last Supper” by Leonardo da Vinci, one of the Unesco’sites in Italy.
What to see around
– Historical villas
We highly recommend you not to miss the incredible experience of visiting some of the historical villas
around lake Como: it will be a delightful encounter with beauty. There are many of them, scattered along
the lake Como (see historical villas page), owned in the pasty dukes and bishops. We suggest:
villa Serbelloni; villa Melzi d’Eril; villa Carlotta; villa del Balbianello

IL MUSEO DEI CICLISTI AL GHISALLO
In Magreglio, nearby Ghisallo’s small church, there is a famous meeting point for bikers from all over the country: the Museo del Ciclismo (The Cycling Museum). Here you can learn more about the history of cycling and about the latest developments of this sport, locally and Worldwide.
If you like hiking, Lake Como offers a wide range of possibilities you can chose from. Monte San Primo (1,680m / 5,500ft high), with the beautiful Rifugio Martina, lies at just 1,000 meters (3,200ft) above Bellagio, and offers breathtaking panoramas over Lake Como and easy trails. Nice views and easier trails can be found at Pian del Tivano (1,400m / 4,600ft).
